While maybe not truly a miracle, this simple mask works like a charm.
I love it. I actually love it so much I try to use it every night as a multipurpose face mask/cleanser. It makes my skin so clear and soft and it even seems to even out my skin tone. I like to leave it on for 5 minutes, but if you don’t have that kind of time (kids screaming, pulling on your pant leg, destroying your home while you take a minute to yourself- you know, typical daily stuff) a simple “mud-on mud-off” will do. If you do get the opportunity to leave it on longer then 30 seconds you will notice it drying and your skin will feel like it is being pulled tight. This is normal and part of the fun!
Here is how you make it:
2 tablespoons Bentonite Clay (Click here to find the one I use)
Water (Approx 3-4 tablespoons)
A glass bowl and wooden mixing spoon (or plastic)
Some say bentonite clay doesn’t react well to metal. It can decrease some of it’s natural mineral properties. I use a mini glass pyrex dish and a wooden spoon/spreader. Slowly mix water in. The consistency will be kind of lumpy but it shouldn’t be too runny. I usually end up using 2 tablespoons of water per 1 tablespoon of Clay.
This makes about 4-5 applications if you remember to keep a lid on it in between applications. Try to use it up within 2 weeks of making.
